How is this different from keyword alerts like Google Alerts or F5Bot?
Keyword tools match exact strings, so you either miss paraphrases or drown in noise. Signalium matches by meaning — it understands that “tool to tidy my JSON” and “json prettifier?” are the same intent — and it classifies whether someone is asking, complaining, or just mentioning.
Which sources do you cover?
Out of the box: Hacker News, GitHub, Lemmy, dev.to, Mastodon, Stack Overflow, Lobsters, Habr, plus any Discourse forum or RSS feed you point us at. Reddit and Bluesky need API credentials and are off by default — and because Reddit’s terms don’t permit machine-learning processing of its content, its posts are never embedded and are matched by keyword rules only. You choose which sources each signal watches.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. One multilingual model aligns 100+ languages in the same “meaning space”, so you can describe your signal in English and still catch relevant posts in Portuguese, German, Japanese and more.
Is scraping people’s posts allowed?
We read public posts through official APIs and public feeds, store only a snippet, and always link back to the original — we never republish full content or resell data. We don’t bypass logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.
How fast are the alerts?
The free plan sends a daily digest. Paid plans check continuously and alert in ~5–15 minutes — fast enough to be the first helpful reply in the thread.
Can I cancel anytime?
