This Privacy Policy explains how Signalium (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website and application at signalium.app. We keep it plain and we keep it short.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password when you sign up.
- Signal configuration — the descriptions, sources and settings you create to run your monitoring.
- Usage data — basic, privacy-friendly analytics (pages visited, aggregate events) collected only with your consent.
- Public posts — we retrieve public posts from third-party platforms via their official APIs and public feeds to match them against your signals. We store only a snippet and a link to the original.
2. How we use your information
To provide and operate the service (run your signals, deliver alerts), to communicate with you about your account, to improve the product, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not resell content collected from third-party platforms.
3. Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we process data under the legal bases of contract (to deliver the service you request), legitimate interest (to secure and improve the product), and consent (for non-essential analytics and marketing email).
4. Alerts & third parties
If you connect an integration (email, Telegram, webhook), we send match notifications through that channel. We use a small number of processors to run the service — for example an email delivery provider and cloud hosting — bound by data-processing terms. We share only what is necessary for them to perform their function.

6. Data retention
We retain account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. Matched posts are pruned on a rolling window (7 days to unlimited, depending on your plan). You can delete your data at any time from your account or by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure may process data in the EU and other regions. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Children
Signalium is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
